On the 31st of Oct 2015 IWS-UAE was formally inaugurated by the President and Founder of the International Watercolor Society, Mr. Atanur Dogan.

Mrs. Mrinmay Sebastian has been appointed as the country head for IWS-UAE and was also recently added as a board member to the Global Board of Directors of International Watercolor Society.

From 1st Nov 2016 IWS-UAE conducted various watercolor workshops, plein air sessions, exhibitions and other promotional events in public with professional artists in UAE.

In brief time IWS-UAE has spread the wings of peace and color across UAE and Arab Nations. Now we are heading towards our goal International Watercolor Festival UAE

About IWS

The International Watercolor Society (IWS) is a non-profit organization which was established in January 2012 with the objective of promoting the world’s oldest and most deeply rooted painting technique, the art of watercolor. IWS was founded by Mr. Atanur Dogan.

IWS aim to bring the watercolor art to the forefront as they develop, promote and popularize watercolors/water-media in every country. IWS currently has about 85 branches across the world. Each branch nurtures, guides and sets international platforms for their artists through exhibitions and biennials across the world.

IWS-UAE is a unit of the International Watercolor Society. In the aim of exchanging proposals and artistic beauty in the watercolor technique and to uplift standards through discussions, seminars, workshops, master classes and inviting IWS members from around the world. Our aim is to showcase the work of all watercolor artists residing in UAE.
